Sales Order Specialist
What we are looking for:
The Sales Order Specialist is responsible for owning the order entry process by managing the order entry cycle, including inputting, validating, and updating orders as required. This position plays a key role in supporting both sales and customer care functions by ensuring compliance with company standards and solving order-related issues.

Back to the role:
What you will do:
Enter & update orders within 48 hours of receipt and ensure 100% accuracy.
Maintain all customer-related master data including new customer set up.
Identify the issues within the current process that hinder goal achievement, and clearly communicate those challenges to your manager.
Collaborate with the Order Release Manager to develop and implement solutions aimed at reducing order entry errors.
Communicate as required with the salespeople and distributors to ensure you have all required information to accurately enter all aspects of the order.
This includes, but is not limited to, machines, ancillaries, kit components, sales discounts being applied correctly, shipping information, payment methods, and any other applicable information.
Update orders as required based on customer, distributor, and sales feedback.
Manage customer master data, ensure accuracy, update as required.
Provide input on reports needed to track the right information.
Enter freight information based on the origin-destination, quantity of the machines on the order, and the supplemental shipping requirements.
Be open to learning and using new tools, processes, and methods of entering orders to improve the efficiency and accuracy of order entry.
Provide feedback to your manager on tools, processes, and methods.
Learn as much as possible about the company products – functionality, brands, sizing, usage, etc.
Demonstrate knowledge during the order entry process to ensure the customer is receiving everything required for their order.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What you should have:
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in a high volume & task-oriented environment.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced changing business needs while being able to work independently.
Ability to collaborate with internal departments professionally and positively.
Self-driven and results-oriented with a focus on providing outstanding service.
Must have a strong business acumen, professionalism, work ethic, and sense of urgency.
Excellent verbal, active listening, and written skills to effectively and professionally communicate.
Proven track record to multi-task with shifting priorities.
Exemplify our CORE principles: Control, Ownership, Reach, and Endurance
Proficiency in MS Office; strong presentation skills.
Proficiency with an ERP systems is a plus but not a requirement.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.
4 years college degree preferred.
3+ years’ experience in customer order processing or similar role.
5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
